Evite

Evite is a popular digital invitation and social event planning website that offers a range of tools to help users organize and manage events. Evite makes creating and sending invitations, tracking RSVPs, and communicating with guests from birthday parties to weddings easy. In addition, the site works with advertisers to create sponsored content for its users. As a member of the Content Team, I was responsible for Evite's marketing and editorial efforts and for creating sponsored content.

Marketing Assets

  • Photography and visual assets to support marketing across .com, email, paid, and social for product launches and seasonal and industry trends.

Party Ideas: Editorial Content

  • Evite Party Ideas was an editorial hub used to hose content to support key product categories and seasonal and entertaining trends. Used to drive brand awareness and product consideration, connect with customers, and inspire people to celebrate.

  • A monthly magazine hosted on Issu featuring product releases, sponsored content, and party ideas inspiration. It was featured on Evite’s homepage, email, and social.

  • Editorial content was used across Evite’s email, paid, and social media.

Sponsored Content

  • Custom campaign development for clients featuring product placement included a content theme, write-up, photography assets, and placement on Evite’s Party Ideas Blog, Email, and Social Media.

  • Featured in Party Ideas, Evite's owned monthly digital magazine aimed to drive awareness of key season products and use cases and inspire people to entertain, host, and celebrate.

  • The client's custom content would be used for custom ads on Evite’s website.

  • An add-on option to increase the reach of the content. Evite would contract bloggers to co-create the content, and/or host the sponsored on on their site.

  • An add-on offered at an incremental price, hosted on Evite’s YouTube, embedded in editorial content and blog posts, and shared on social media.

Editorial Content

As part of our strategy to raise brand awareness for Evite and product consideration for key product offerings, we owned and curated a monthly editorial content digital magazine. This magazine was designed to inspire our audience with creative and innovative party ideas that they can use for their upcoming events. It also featured sponsored content placement for our paid partners.

Sponsored Content

Through a collaborative effort with the sales team, Evite recognized that their clients' ad content was not resonating well with their audience on their channels. The content felt out of place and did not align well with the brand. As a solution, Evite began experimenting with custom content tailored specifically for their clients and saw a significant performance improvement. Building on this success, they expanded their offerings to include editorial content featured across Evite's digital channels, video content, and blogger syndication, providing clients with a more comprehensive approach to their marketing strategies. This approach emphasizes the importance of creating content that is both relatable and authentic to a brand, ultimately resulting in more effective and successful marketing campaigns.

We were a scrappy team that wore many hats, and responsibilities differed depending on project size and scope.
